Eight:
LONG OVERDUE!!!
Well my deepest apologies to any of you who have stuck it out for the long haul and waited patiently for the next intriguing post on the Allen Angle. Unlike many of you I seldom have time to actually sit down and TYPE at the computer. Yeah, I seem to have time to read everyone else's blogs and check our email but it seems like there is just never any communication from this end...SORRY! We are not avoiding, we are just limited on time at the computer without a curious 3 year old jumping up into our laps and wanting to "help."
Well, we are busy these days with looking into buying a business! We have not signed any papers, but are looking into it pretty seriously. Charlie began working for the owner of this business in January after saying goodbye to Music Row. This new job requires more travel that the previous one, but we now have health insurance (yeah!!!) and a slight pay raise. This company goes around the country to different conferences and events and records and sells the audio/video from that event. It helps those people who attended to retain more of what they heard longer. I was able to go on one of the trips out to Malibu, CA (...Yeah a tough one) and see what it was like. IT WAS BUSY!!!! 14-17 hour days non stop for 3-4 days straight! But very rewarding at dinner when you were able to casually look out over the billion dollar homes that were overlooking the Pacific Ocean...rough life! Would not want to live there but LOVED visiting!
I am still at home full time with Luke and that within itself is challenging. We have just began potty-training! So far so good...only a few misses! Yeah!!! No more diapers/pull-ups!!! I also have been doing some video work here and there with Allen Productions. Back in March the clan went to Lubbock, TX to shoot video at my college roommate's wedding. She married a guy from West Virginia. We knew both of them back in college, but never would have imagined that they would have ended up together. But they are both WONDERFUL people! (And Rebecca and Heath if you are reading this we will have the video for you when you get back from your little hike on the Appalachian Trail!!)
Well, I will try and do this more often, but no promises!
Momma A
