Five:

And the thunder rolls...

I LOVE SPRING!!! I honestly believe that in the spring no one should have to do anything except take naps on stormy afternoons and play in with thier kids on sunny ones. Today was the best of both.

Timmy, Luke's friend, came over today and they played during the morning showers (as I found myself dozing off occasionally...oops!) and then after lunch the clouds parted and the sun came out enough to dry up the raindrops that had washed the sidewalks clean of the "chalk Picassos" drawn by 2 and 3 year old children.

The boys are now napping and I am able to sit down to blog a bit here at the computer. The rain has come again and is now thundering down like millions of little puddles. The sound of the water falling into the bags of soil I left outside remind me that I once again forgot to put up my "toys" after I was done playing with them...maybe Luke needs to teach his mommy a lesson or two.

I have found the perfect rain music (for this week)! A few weeks ago I was flipping channels in the 11 o'clock hour and stopped on Leno's show. Now normally I am a Letterman and Conan girl myself but tonight was different. I happened to surf over at the perfect moment to hear my new favorite artist (for now) Amos Lee. I am not the kind of person who normally flips out over an artist, but after I heard this guy I downloaded the song off iTunes as fast as the dial-up connection would allow. (so not really that fast) I just kept telling Charlie this is the greatest song I had heard in a while. There are 2 songs that come to mind right now that I can hear and then just turn into a pile of jello. "She" off the Notting Hill Soundtrack and "Arms of a Woman" by Amos Lee....oh, it's on now hold on while I scoop myself into a bowl.

Ok, a little hard to type but I'll pull myself back together here shortly. I didn't have anything brilliant to discuss today. Just felt like writing. Hope that your days are filled with the joy and peace that I have found in my sunshine days and spring showers.

God Bless!
